Let your faith lead your life not the fear of today become the leader of your tomorrow.

Luke 8:37 37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left. Fear pushes Jesus away every time.  Instead of letting our faith lead us through moments of fear we let our lack of believe be in the driver seat of our faith.  Moments of fear lead to an example of faithlessness.  We fear what others think; so we don't stand on what is right; we fear what someone might say about us; so we follow the crowd instead of Jesus.  We come face to face with our insecurities, longing form the crowd to like us; so we compromise our faith.  The crazy part is "he got into the boat and left."  Jesus does not remain where he is not welcome.  Don't expect Jesus to walk through the valley with you if you're not willingly to walk through the valley for Him.  Jesus left.  When we display a lack of faith we are asking Jesus to leave.  Let your faith lead your life not the fear of today become the leader of your tomorrow.  Stick with your faith in Jesus.

"Our un-confessed sin cancels our communion with Christ" - Boyd Bailey

"Our un-confessed sin cancels our communion with Christ" - Boyd Bailey I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Psalm 66:17-19 "Sin is a silencer that shoots down prayer. Our un-confessed sin cancels our communion with Christ. It shatters our souls longing to align with the Almighty. Sin over-promises and under-delivers. It promises you pleasure, but its ultimate outcomes are hollow. It promises you freedom, but it leaves you in bondage. It promises you privileges, but then takes away privileges. Iniquity invites you into its influence, and then hangs you out to dry as you attempt to cry out to God. Indeed, sin is suicidal to your prayer life. Sin and your Savior cannot coexist. It is anti-Christ. Before we pray, we are to come clean with sin. Jesus said it like this, “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift” (Matthew 5:23-24). Getting right our relationships precedes getting right with God. We cannot harbor sin in our heart and expect God to hear our prayers in heaven. Sin confuses and complicates matters. Where there is confusion look out for un-confessed sin. We cannot hear God, because sin has deafened our heart. The eardrums of our soul burst under the pressure of un-confessed sin. Furthermore, sin blocks the door of obedience. As with Cain, sin crouches at the door and hinders our passage. (Genesis 4:7). Therefore, check your motives for coming to Christ in prayer. Make sure it is to manifest His glory and not yours. The half brother of Jesus said, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures” (James 4:3). Maturity rids its innermost being of any alliance with iniquity." Bailey, Boyd. Seeking God in the Psalms (p. 96).

There is nothing better standing at the wedding Alter with your purity!

Song of Solomon 8:4 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do not arouse or awaken love  until it so desires. A passage talking about your purity and how to honor the Lord in it.  Set standards today to not awaken love.  Not through Porn, Not through a dating relationship, not through a moment that got the best of you.  As you have relationships honor God in this and letting your purity be a priority!!  Boundaries are key to keep you from falling into a sinful moment.  Lust can win so fast if you don't protect your purity and protect your thought life!!  There is nothing better standing at the wedding Alter with your purity!!!  That is the message of Solomon in Song of Solomon 8:4.  Honor your future spouse today by how you date today, what you look at today, what you give into today!!  Fight for your purity!!!

Never let the temptation of worldly coolness creep in and rob you of living Holy!

I peter 1:16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." Never let the temptation of worldly coolness creep in and rob you of living Holy!  You will be tempted over the years to do things you know you should never do, to say things that should not be said, to laugh at things that should never be laughed at, to support a decision of a friend that should not be supported.  Worldly coolness gets the best of us at times.  That is why you must give time each day to spend in the Word of God and prayer.  Journal what you are walk through and how you are challenged.  Never give up on the path of holiness.  Few find it, few travel it yet it is a life that is baggage free, stress free and full of hope and direction.  Chose Holiness in what you look at, how you speak and the decisions you make.  For it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

Never forget what Jesus did for you!!!

Never forget what Jesus did for you!!! Isaiah 53: Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished. 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. 11 After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Friday was for YOU!!!

Wait on the Lord.  Today , over 2000 years ago, was a day of waiting.  Waiting to see what would happen with Jesus.  Would he conqure death, would he come out of the grave, how would he come out, what will it look like, will it happen?  Today, in the Jewish culture, was the day of Sabbath so no work was allowed to happen on this day.  Just a day of rest!  Rest and wait!  Those 2 words don't seem to go together.  Yet, sometimes the Lord brings us to a place were  we must have great faith He will come through so we can rest in our faith but we still must wait on Him!  Today rest knowing (Ex 14:14 ) "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”  While resting remember: Friday was for you To the rebellious, Friday was for you! To the broken hearted, Friday was for you! To those full of worry, Friday was for you!  To those who reject Christ, Friday was for you!  To those who call yourselvs athiest, Friday was for you! To those living in deep sin and sorrow, Friday was for you!  To those who have surrendered your lives to Christ, Friday was for you! I could keep going just remmeber Friday was for you!  So as you wait and rest remember what Jesus did was for you so that you could have eternal life with Him!!  He proofed Friday was for you on Sunday!! I Cor 15:55-57 “Where, O death, is your victory?  Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Never ask what is right or wrong just simply ask what is wise according to the Word of God and then chose to follow.

Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. When no one else would Simon of Cyrene pick up Jesus cross and carried it to Golgatha for Him.  Through the crowds of mockery, through the insults, through abuse Simon carried the cross for Jesus.  As a follower of Christ we are not just called to worship Him on Sunday but to pick up the cross and follow him on Monday.  We do this through our choices, through our speech, through our attitude, through our actions, through what we say YES to and what we say NO to, we do this as an act of followship!  Never ask what is right or wrong just simply ask what is wise according to the Word of God and then chose to follow.  Picking up the cross and following is no easy task yet necessary as a follower of Christ!!

Keep your YES to the call of God in your life on the table and as you say YES live in the YES of obedience don't fight against it & you will experience God in ways you never thought.

1 Samual 14:6 J“Let’s go across to the outpost of those pagans,” Jonathan said to his armor bearer. “Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder the Lord. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!” Always remember NOTHING CAN HINDER THE LORD!  He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!”  You stay faithful, keep your YES on the table and as you say YES live in the YES of obedience don't fight against it and you will experience God in ways you never thought.  Trust God and don't let the fear of the journey make you run from the call of God in your life daily.

90% obedience ='s 10% disobedience.

I Samual 15: 90% obedience ='s 10% disobedience.  Saul followed what God told him to do except he did not kill the king and his animals.  The result equals I Samual 15:!0 "Then the Lord said to Samuel, 11 “I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” As King Saul is confronted by Samual the prophet. Samual responds in 1 Samual 15: 22-23 “What is more pleasing to the Lord:     your burnt offerings and sacrifices     or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,     and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.  Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft,     and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord,     he has rejected you as king.” The Lord then says to 1 Samual in 16:1 16 Now the Lord said to Samuel, “You have mourned long enough for Saul. I have rejected him as king of Israel, so fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.” Samual goes to get David to anoint him as King.  All a result of 90% obedience and 10% disobedience.  Yet, to the Lord 10% disobedience is 100% a lack of loyalty.  When God calls you follow His call on your life; live in obedience with the call and trust the Lord!!  Luke 9:23 23 Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. strong challenge to follow the Lord and live in Obedience!!!  CMON

Today's circumstances are opportunities for you to give your praise unto the Lord.

Saul was done w/ David and had finally decided to go in his house and kill him. David hears of it and escapes through a back window. Leaving his home, family and all forms of comfort. He had it all and now he had nothing. He was a leader of a 1000 now a leader of no one. While King Saul’s army is pursuing him he pins Ps 59 and at the end says....   PS 59:16-17 But as for me, I will sing about your power.     Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge,     a place of safety when I am in distress. 17 O my Strength, to you I sing praises,     for you, O God, are my refuge,     the God who shows me unfailing love.   Today's circumstances are opportunities for you to give your praise unto the Lord. Don't let the waves crashing in on you keep you from keeping your eyes on Jesus!!! Stand on a few truths from PS 59 today: HE is still powerful, find joy in the valleys, His love has not left you, He is your refuge, He is where safety lies not in the world, He is your strength, and His love is Unfailing!!!
