From the Intern. . .Wednesday Night Re-Cap

We had a great Wednesday night in Element Student Ministry. We were up in attendance ALOT, over 100 students were here for our last Wednesday night service until August.

Tonight we played Blender mania and we saw Don drink a blended combination of mustard, sweethearts, water, and carrot cake. We saw Leah drink a blended combination of Dr. Pepper, pineapple, mayo, and reeses cups.

Leah ended up drinking her shake first and got the chance to shoot the impossible shot but missed.

Tonight I challenged the students to look at the friendships in thier lives. A recent poll showed that the top three influences in students' lives today are their friends, the media, and their parents.

I pointed to the promise and the warning that is given in Proverbs 13:20 to illustrate what kind of friendships our students should have.

"He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."

The promise if that if we walk and develop friendships with wise people we WILL grow wise ourselves.

The warning is that if we associate ourselves with fools, we WILL suffer harm.

I believe this is cruicial concept for our students to grasp as they go throughout junior high and high school.

Remember if you have not signed up for camp, get signed up! If you would like to give to help a student to go to camp, we would appreciate it!

Here is a video that we showed with last nights sermon.
