Speaking to Taylor High School Football

This morning I went and spoke to Tylor HS before they left for their game.

I spoke to them out of Numbers 13. In this story mosses sends out 12 men to go look at the land the Israelites have.

But only two of the leaders had taken time to develop their moral and spiritual character so that they had the faith and endurance to trust in God when chips were down. They had the endurance to finish strong.

Here I speak about staying focus. It is a mental game. When we are faced with diversity we must stand strong in life and in football.

You see God was ready to hand over the keys to the promise land to 12 leaders. They were leaders of 2 million + people. These men He picked weren’t freshman they were Sr’s they were the team captain’s . They were the leaders the ones who had proven themselves.

They were the ones who has seen:God send the plagues to Egypt…12 guys who had seen God open the red sea for them and their families, and then close it on Pharaoh’s army…guys who had seen God work time and time again on their behalf…These were men who started strong…

But out of these 12 10 of them became scared:
30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.
33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

I then end cover 3 things and this quote:
