Swine Flu (H1N1) - Read and Give me YOUR THOUGHTS!!!

The Swine Flu has become the topic of conversation lately. School’s closing, churches attendance down and people terrified.

So what are the real facts? Are we really seeing that many people die? Is this worse than the normal flu?

All are great questions and I’m not a Dr nor am I an expert on the Swine Flu, but I can read some facts from Center of Disease Control and Prevention.

Look at how many deaths have happen in the US from this link.

Notice the one from Texas, the only death, was “from the outbreak of a Mexico City toddler who traveled to Texas with family and died Monday night at a Houston hospital. U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius predicted the child would not be the last U.S. death from swine flu.” According to this Link.

Should we raise the awareness? YES!!! Should we take care of ourselves? YES!!! Should we do this during the normal flu session? Why NOT?

The deaths in Mexico are even slowiwng down. “An estimated 149 people have died from influenza as of Monday, but only 26 deaths have so far been linked to the H1N1 swine flu virus” According to this link

Question I'm curious about:
Has the media made "to big of deal about this" or should we be this concerned?
What do you think? Have you had symptoms of the Swine Flu?
Is it as big of a deal as we have made it?
Should Schools Cancel?

Love to hear your thoughts? I'm really curious!!!! I have no buy in either way just curious about what is going on and thought it would be a great question to throw out there on my blog.
