Haiti - How to Help - THIS WEEK @ LONG HOLLOW

This is a note that our Executive Pastor, Lance Taylor, Sent out to our church. Thought I would share:

BLANKET DRIVE THIS SUNDAY

As an initial tangible response to the crisis in Haiti, a local ministry has
contacted Long Hollow about donating blankets. Brent Gambrell Ministries
(www.brentgambrell.com) has a truck ready to drive to Miami on Monday where
a cargo ship awaits for transport to the capital of Port-au-Prince.
Blankets are being used as beds at night and as shelters during the day. If
you are interested in helping, please bring lightweight blankets THIS SUNDAY
ONLY. Collection areas will be located inside all entrances.

LONG HOLLOW'S HAITI RELIEF FUND

Further relief efforts will continue throughout the coming weeks. Please
consider a generous contribution to Long Hollow's Haiti Relief Fund this
Sunday or online at longhollow.com. 100% of all donations will be used for
relief, including water, food, shelter and more. This fund is completely
separate from the Crazy Love Campaign, which itself is now more important
than ever considering the certain increase of orphans in Haiti.

Assessments are being made by Southern Baptist personnel and by our partners
at the Global Orphan Project on the ground in Port-au-Prince now as to the
most effective and efficient ways to use these relief funds.

Updates will occur daily at longhollow.com.

SIGN UP TO GO TO HAITI

We are waiting on instructions for when we can send teams to help with the
relief effort. In the meantime, be preparing yourself to go by getting your
passport (www.travel.state.gov), immunizations (cdc.gov/travel), collecting
needed funds for expenses, and by sending an email to
maribeth.burns@longhollow.com.

CRAZY LOVE CAMPAIGN UPDATE

All plans are still moving forward and contributions can still be made to
Offering Two. We are only $99,000 away from reaching our goal of $750,000.
Offering Two will remain open through January.
