Testimony from LHSM Camp - Chelsea Lyons

Since my freshman year when I accepted Christ it has been pretty rocky and I have struggled in many areas. However, in the past few months God has been transforming me and teaching me how to grow strong in my walk with him. This past week at camp was kind of a slap in the face for me, in a good way. God told me how I need to be bold—truly BOLD. He has shown me how much he loves us and how selfish I have been with his affection. God has shown us his love and mercy not just for us to soak it in, but also for us to POUR IT OUT to as many people as possible so they can experience the most wonderful gift that can ever be given—The gift of eternal life through the death of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

So as a student, I want to challenge everyone to get real with themselves and with God and be BOLD. Live everyday for him because he is the only thing on this earth worth living for. Keep the fire going and do not let yourself become lukewarm. So, get right with God, stop being selfish, and go share his great news!
Revelation 3:15-20
15) I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16) So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17) You say, I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing. But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18) I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19) Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
